Consultation and Training

In today’s fast-paced workplace environments driven by deadlines, productivity, and funding limitations, organizations face ongoing challenges in mitigating the effects of burnout while also investing in the knowledge and skill development of their employees. At Live Oak, our values guide the support we can provide to nonprofits, social service agencies, and companies across industries. We work with your team to identify opportunities for training and development in a variety of competency areas including LGBTQ affirmative practice, intersectional practice, and trauma-informed services. Whether your team needs an introduction to LGBTQ cultural competency, or more advanced consultation on developing trauma-informed programs, our  trainers and psychotherapists are ready to collaborate with you to ensure our trainings and consultative services meet the unique needs of your practice, group, or agency.

On-site Clinical Consultation

Consultation is offered to organizations and teams who wish to discuss current clinical and/or programmatic dilemmas within their particular service setting. With expertise and rich experience working in a variety of workplace settings from community mental health to nonprofit management, our team is able to provide consultation on a diversity of topics. Typically, organizations partner with us to provide consultation focused on our core competency areas:

  • LGBTQ Affirmative Practice
  • Trauma-Informed Practice & Services
  • Intersectional & Multisystemic Practice
  • Self-of-the-Therapist
  • Creative-Expressive & Body-Based Approaches 

Consultation services may be offered only once or in an ongoing format, either at Live Oak’s offices or on-site at your company or organization. 

On-Site Trainings

Live Oak trainers are available to conduct specific workshops and trainings at your site or office. Choose from existing workshops developed by Live Oak trainers, or work with a Live Oak trainer to discuss one specific to the unique needs of your practice, group or agency. Live Oak trainers work collaboratively with you to ensure every workshop is delivered in a manner that is appropriate for your needs, and centers an intersectional approach to each topic.
