Values & Philosophy

I have personal experience navigating the complexities of our mental health systems and proceed with gentleness, compassion, and understanding as you seek to find the right therapist for you. I believe in the power of your story as knowledge. I strive to live and practice within the vision of disability justice, particularly while practicing within systems that have been known to cause harm to BIPOC, disabled, queer, and other marginalized communities. I practice from an intersectional framework and believe that ableism impacts all of us, as it is intertwined with racism, anti-Blackness, sexism, and other systems of oppression.

I am humbled to witness your growth as you process trauma or explore your identities in a space that we can create together. Healing may be a complicated, winding path, and I want to support you as you navigate emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal connections through a strengths-based approach.

As a disabled, immigrant, Mexican, queer, cis woman, I understand the level of vulnerability it takes to constantly look for a therapist who is culturally-attuned, supportive, accessible, and kind. If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out so we can begin creating a space that addresses your needs.
