Pronouns: She/Her & They/Them
I believe that we all need to love, feel loved, and are deserving of both. When those fundamental human needs are met, we are not only able to give and receive affection, but we also belong to a community. Experiencing a sense of belonging provides us with the joy and strength to overcome life’s challenges and live a fulfilling life.
We often come to therapy when our relationships experience a rupture. As your therapist, I will help you to explore ways to communicate personal needs within relationships in order to deepen connection and facilitate intimacy. In individual therapy, you will find me focused on your boundaries, self-advocacy, and your relationship with yourself. When working with me as a couple, poly family, polycule, or constellation, the focus is on deepening emotional connection and healing relational trauma with a sensitive eye to the unique experiences and strengths each individual brings into the relationship.
I believe that therapy is most effective when we’re able to express ourselves without reservation. You will find that I try to be attuned to your emotional experience and partner with you in establishing rapport that facilitates unconditional support and safety. I often incorporate humor and play to foster genuine connection and soften barriers.
Ultimately, I see my work with clients as a cooperative venture. I hold true that you are the expert on yourself and your life. I see you as the artist and the painter of your own canvas. I am here to help you find the paints and support you as your vision comes to life.
My therapeutic approach includes focusing on the following areas specifically within relationship-based work (i.e., therapy with couples, triads, polycules, metamours, constellations, etc.):
