Advanced Clinical Practice with Relational Diversity (part 2)

June 17, 2022 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Trainer: Jordan Dunmead Fee: $60 CEUs: 3 (Live Oak is an approved CEU provider for social workers, marriage and family therapists, and clinical counselors through the Illinois Dept. of Financial and Professional Regulation). Location: Zoom

Truly affirming practice with relationally diverse clients requires an intersectional understanding that is complemented by a well-articulated theoretical underpinning, inclusive of such identities. This intermediate-level training is for individuals with a basic understanding of non-monogamy–and other relationally diverse practices or identities–who are working to deepen their therapeutic practice and pair it with their existing theoretical frameworks. In this training, we will examine advanced language associated with non-monogamous relationship structures, the role of culture in the formation of relational narratives, how to practice traditional “couple” therapy models in polyam-affirming ways, and case studies where these notions are put into practice.

In order to sign up for this training, please sign up for–or have equivalent training experience to–the introductory-level non-monogamy training that is also offered earlier the same day.

Live Oak offers a 15% discount for students to attend trainings. Please reach out to to receive a discount code for the workshop you’d like to attend.
