My belief and passion have married to embrace the manifestation of my credence that therapists are born to do this work which has allowed me to create a synergy in guiding clients toward healing. Within my therapeutic practice, I collaborate with clients using a systemic, problem-centered integrative approach fundamental to one's well-being and healing. I have comprehensive clinical experience working with adults, children, couples, and families with anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem/identity, self-confidence, adjustment difficulties, life transitions and relationship dynamics. My additional areas of specialty include: Working with the transgender population including their family members also seeking support, grief and sexual traumas. Within the therapy process we will discuss the goals you identify utilizing identified strengths and resiliencies that can be a valuable vehicle addressing pathways for growth and healing.

Education and Experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Adler University. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with ten years experience within the field of mental health. I have specific training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I am currently working as a post graduate trainee at Live Oak, Inc. We provide 4 areas of speciality related to our clinical work. We provide services to LGBTQ populations, we provide trauma informed services, we use multicultural and multi-systemic lenses for clinical conceptualizations and we also work to integrate expressive and body centered therapies within many of our practices.

Therapy is a collaborative process where discoveries of self are found through the process of change. As a therapist, I provide support and guidance in the collaborative process. My belief is that our relationships with partners, extended families, peers, children and acquaintances are inherent mechanisms in navigating our lives. There are times when mechanisms we use for life may created barriers to the pathways of healing. Within the therapeutic process we can navigate through these identified barriers and explore vulnerabilities working to achieve healing.
