I lead my therapeutic practice with a relational lens, working with people who share similar lived experiences or identities. Within our time together, my intention is to create a nurturing environment where exploration of identity and self is not only accepted, but celebrated. We’ll navigate your challenges with an integrated approach—an intention to support you by affirming the connections between your body, mental health and the systems around us.
As someone who identifies as a white gen-z transwoman with a small-town Midwest upbringing, my path to self-affirmation mirrors many within the queer community. My background strongly influences my commitment to addressing oppressive systems while embracing an intersectional, anti-racist, and feminist framework to compassionately guide our work together. I actively strive to challenge oppressive clinical standards, like pathologizing, in my practice so I can create a chill space that aligns with my values while upholding and pursuing accountability and self-growth. My commitment to this work can be seen through my experience supporting people as a crisis counselor and clinic social worker. I personally enjoy helping adolescents and young adults work through life transitions, relationship/familial concerns, intimate partner violence, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. I want to meet you where you’re at to understand what your needs are and to collaborate on how to best navigate the complexities of your daily life.
To offer some guidance in our work, I pull from a breadth of modalities with a trauma-informed approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Humanistic Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I firmly believe that radical change is created through relationships and community, and I aspire for you to discover a meaningful sense of belonging in our work together
