Live Oak is a community of diversely identified humans working together to transform the emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing of individuals, communities and families. We are a psychotherapy practice that is primarily queer, LGBTQIA++ affirmative, trauma informed, with foci in neurodiversity and living at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities.
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a creative high school student interested in psychology, mental health, and social media to help create content for our pages under the direction of our Marketing Manager and offer office support to our Director of Operations. You’ll work with therapists at Live Oak to turn their ideas into simple, engaging posts using our pre-made templates. You will also offer office support, completing tasks that require weekly on-site attention at our Lakeview office space.
This is a low-commitment opportunity and a great way to gain experience while helping make mental health information more accessible.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to commit to working:
- 4 – 8 hours a week
- On site for at least 4 of these hours each week
- The 4 on-site hours must be completed at a consistent agreed upon time (with the Director of Operations)
- We ask for a 1 year commitment
- Computer literacy in:
- Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Google sheets, Google docs
- Excellent Internet skills, including use of e-mail programs and group messaging
- Excellent communication, organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical)
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently, with minimal supervision; self-starter
- Skill in establishing priorities and managing workload
- Keen attentiveness to detail and accuracy
- Creativity in problem-solving
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with administrative and supporting responsibilities in an office setting or other setting
Details of Responsibilities:
- Social Media:
- Create ~2 social media posts per week
- Collaborate with therapists to gather ideas and content
- Use Canva (experience required)
- Flexible schedule, low time commitment
- Administrative support to Director of Operations
- Transfer data and documents from the Drive to NAS storage for folks separating from Live Oak.
- Maintain a filing and storage system in the office
- Keep Inventory /Monitor Office Supplies
- Create a master list of office supplies along with a schedule for checking and replacing them.
- Assess the need for, refill and replace:
- Tissue, paper towels, masks, office air filters, personal hygiene supplies, water filters in pitchers and in faucets (if applicable), printer supplies.
- Identify supply purchase list (while doing all other tasks) and pass along purchase list to Director of Operations for weekly/monthly purchases.
- Retrieve documents and files when requested
- Pick up incoming mail and route as necessary
- Assist Bookkeeper with weekly deposit by preparing necessary documents
- Maintain a client database in Electronic Health Records system
- Comply at all times with ethical standards of professional conduct
- Work with other Operations team members to create a system to transfer task completion as needed
- When time allows, provide support to other programs within the organization
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Compensation:
This position works on an hourly basis at $15.00
