As mental health counselors, we have a clinical and ethical responsibility to understand how immigration systems shape both individual and collective well-being. Undocumented individuals and families experience chronic stress, fear, and barriers to care that affect daily life and clinical engagement. This session emphasizes macro-level awareness (e.g., policies, ethics, and systems) while grounding in ongoing micro-level practice. Through discussion and applied examples, participants will explore clinical standards, confidentiality, and organizational strategies to promote safety and dignity for undocumented community members.
