The human mind is a complex and often misunderstood part of our bodies and of our experience. Despite cultural ideas of normal, humans actually have a range of different biorhythms, thinking styles, and neurotypes shaped by lived experience, neurochemistry, and even metabolism. In this training we will learn some basics about neurodiversity as well as build competency in working with clients to build habits that work with their mind instead of working to force their mind to do things the “normal” way.

Goals of Today’s Training:

  • Provide clinicians with accurate information about neurodiversity
  • Explore the biology of ADHD and what it means to be dopamine poor
  • Build foundational knowledge about autism
  • Broaden clinician’s knowledge of different types of interventions used in supporting neurodiverse clients

Live Oak offers a 15% discount for students to attend trainings. Please reach out to training@liveoakchicago.com to receive a discount code for the workshop you’d like to attend.
