Struggling to communicate with your teen? Feeling misunderstood at school? Worrying about things beyond your control? Facing challenges in your romantic relationships? Feeling stuck or dissatisfied in your career? If any of this feels familiar, I am here to help.
I am Mariana, a Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about supporting teens, families, and couples through life’s transitions. Together, we will explore the potential in your relationships, career, and personal growth. I’ll cheer you on, challenge you, and validate your experiences while helping you face life’s tough moments and uncover areas for growth.
As a third-culture kid born to Latine parents and raised in eight countries by 19, I know the power of family, friends, and community in navigating change. My upbringing taught me the importance of connection through food, music, and art — a belief that shapes my approach to therapy.
In sessions, I guide families and partners to communicate with honesty and vulnerability, often integrating tools from Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to heal past wounds and rewrite life’s stories. I also draw on developmental psychology, attachment theory, and neuroscience to foster understanding and compassion for yourself and your loved ones through psychoeducation.
Ultimately, you are the expert in your life. My role is to illuminate your path, helping you craft meaningful chapters built on lessons from the past. If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect—reach out to me or my intake team to get started.
Other fun facts about me:
I am a queer, Latina, immigrant who loves to sing, cook, and dance. I spend my free time rehearsing with my acapella group, cooking a new recipe, and rewatching TV shows. I love connecting with people over a shared hobby, playing a board game, or attending a concert. Most of all, I love keeping myself busy with new projects to fulfill my cravings for novelty.
I am also Co-host the Podcast Lessons from the Couch, find out more about it, including platforms to find it on, here.
