Values & Philosophy

Therapy creates a space for connection. In a world of injustice, we experience patterns of disconnection and connection from our bodies, ourselves, and each other. These experiences can be silencing, shaming, and traumatic. I am here to hold a nonjudgmental space that fosters reconnection through affirming, listening, and witnessing. Reconnection can feel like liberation. Reconnection can feel like justice. Together we can work towards liberation through the mind, body, and spirit.

My practice centers queer and trans Black and POC communities and our unique experiences navigating the world at the intersections of many identities. Using a Black queer feminist lens, I create a therapeutic space that acknowledges power, privilege, and oppression and the way that impacts your unique healing journey. Our therapeutic relationship is one where you can show up in the wholeness of who you are and begin to unpack the experiences that foster powerlessness and hardship. I believe that we can heal collectively in relationships that foster safety and liberation. Together we can create a therapeutic relationship rooted in these values.

We all come to therapy for a multitude of reasons, thus there is not a single solution. I offer an intentional, welcoming approach that calls on you to explore your own embodied wisdom while providing trauma informed tools for support. As a systems oriented, relational therapist, we can explore patterns of connection and disconnection.
