Clinical Practice and Consideration with Non-Binary Individuals

We can only engage in deeper work with non-binary identified individuals after we have created an affirming and welcoming environment for them. This workshop is for those who have introductory knowledge on working with gender diverse clients, as it will explore clinical practice issues related to working with non-binary individuals. Topics explored will include: a discussion of language utilized to describe non-binary and gender diverse identities, particular concerns and issues facing non-binary individuals, intersectionality and how it relates to non-binary identity, and how to create an affirming and welcoming environment to support non-binary clients in achieving their full potential.
