Therapy spaces are complex and multipurpose. As a business the office encounters people from many walks of life who have varying boundaries and expectations. As well as a space of caring and support, the office needs to be a holding environment for people who are struggling and vulnerable. Because of this, there are many opportunities for boundary crossing to arise. In this training we will both cover the state mandated information on navigating sexual harassment and explore some clinically focused scenarios to help integrate the knowledge and prepare the clinician for navigating potential future issues.
Goals of This Training:
- Provide clinicians with information on how to navigate incidents of sexual harassment at work.
- Describe the IDHR guidelines and definitions based on the IL Human Rights Act.
- Explore example scenarios based on a clinical environment and the unique complexities therein.
