Living in a body is often complex.  Culture, social rules, and the judgment of others play a constant part in shaping our relationship to our bodies. In this workshop, we will work to build a toolbox of skills for building a baseline of body neutrality and towards a positive relationship with the body, whatever its shape or level of function. Through group work, dyad work, and discussion, we will explore our own reactions and connect with tools to support us on our body’s journey.

Goals of Today’s Training:

  • Provide clinicians with accurate information about the relationship between fatness and health.
  • Encourage clinicians to examine their personal biases around body size and health and encourage them to be more flexible in how they view and discuss bodies.
  • Discuss clinical concerns through case discussion and experiential exercises.

Live Oak offers a 15% discount for students to attend trainings. Please reach out to training@liveoakchicago.com to receive a discount code for the workshop you’d like to attend.
