Ground Tree Root: Beginning Energy Work for Clinical Practice
This training will be in person at our Lakeview location 1300 W Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL 60657
Empathy and relationship building are fundamental core processes of therapy. Therapists use their instincts and reactions to help inform their work and to better understand clients. One way of conceptualizing these instincts is as an energy exchange. Energy work then clinical can be a useful tool in connecting, bolstering, and building mental wellness. In this workshop we will explore exercises for accessing our own personal energy and using it to contain, to set space, and to connect with each other. We will explore the clinical applications of energy work and discuss how to talk about it and share it with clients from a neutral perspective.
Workshop Goals:
- Familiarize clinicians with terms and types of energy practices so that they can make suggestions and recommendations
- Support clinicians in building personal competency in basic energetic practice.
- Explore practice through individual experiential work.
