Existing as a Non Binary person in the world is often complex and challenging. There isn’t a clear cultural road for us to follow, we have to make it up as we go along. There is pressure to conform to a narrow and fixed version of ourselves created by socially acceptable ideas of gender non-conformity in the media and within the queer community. Join us in this group to explore different facets of the non binary experience, connect with the community, and build skills to help navigate a world that can be rigid, devoted to binary ideas, and often downright hostile.
This group will be structured on a backbone of ACT concepts and skills. We will learn new concepts together and then apply them to the real life struggles and vulnerabilities brought forward by group members. For example, we will learn how to unhook from stuck thoughts, build clarity around personal values, and practise tolerating being uncomfortable so we can move towards meaningful experiences
At the end of our time together we will host our last meeting in person and all share a meal and celebrate nonbinary experiences and our own growth. Masking and covid safety will be discussed and agreed upon within the group.
This is a closed Support Group meaning you must register before the group starts and is limited to 10-12 participants.
